Your data,
explained plainly.
The free browser tool and the hosted account handle CSV inputs differently.
Free browser comparisons
Your CSV contents are read and compared in your browser. This application does not upload them or save them in browser storage. Clear files or close the tab to discard working data. Downloads remain on your device.
Sign-in and accounts
Sign In With ChatGPT supplies a site-specific user identifier and email address. The application stores a derived account identifier to associate your usage and billing records. Your email is sent to Stripe when you create a real subscription; payment details and billing addresses are entered on Stripe-hosted pages, not stored by this application.
Pilot interest
If you explicitly record interest in the $9/month pilot, the service saves your derived account identifier, the displayed offer version, the time of your request and whether this is an owner test. It stores no email address in this interest record and sends no email notification. The owner can see aggregate interest counts; owner tests are excluded from the demand count. Withdraw from your account to remove your interest record. Withdrawal does not erase separate billing or comparison records.
Hosted comparisons
When you explicitly run a hosted comparison, both CSV contents and your selected rules are sent to the service. The application processes them in memory and does not persist raw CSV files or full exception reports. It stores summary counts, source fingerprints, timestamps, request fingerprints, status and usage. The account page displays the ten most recent summaries. Source fingerprints help identify repeat files but are not anonymization and can still be sensitive.
Saved comparison rules
When you explicitly save a profile, the service stores its name, shared ID column, selected comparison columns, field types, decimal tolerance, creation and update times, and your derived account identifier. Each account can store three profiles of up to 16 KiB each. CSV contents and filenames are not part of a profile. Profile and column names may still reveal sensitive information, so choose them carefully. Saving or loading does not run a comparison or consume a reservation. Loading applies rules for review only if their columns exist in both selected files.
Profiles remain after cancellation; they have no automatic expiry. Active paid access is required to save or load rules. While signed in, you can still list your own profile names and timestamps and delete a saved profile after paid access ends, including during payment verification outages. Deletion removes that profile from the application's active database, not separate comparison summaries or billing records. Rules already loaded remain in the current browser tab. Provider backups and operational logs may have separate retention; immediate erasure from those systems is not promised.
Billing and operations
The service retains account-to-Stripe references, subscription and invoice references, payment-event references, encrypted operation responses, usage reservations and the version and time of terms acceptance. These support access, cancellation, duplicate-request prevention and payment investigations. Payment operation responses can include billing contact information supplied to Stripe. The application does not add advertising scripts or third-party behavioral analytics. The hosting and payment providers process information under their own policies, including technical connection information and operational logs.
Retention and requests
There is no automatic account or summary deletion schedule in this pilot. Records remain until reviewed for deletion or until the service is retired; payment and audit records may need to remain for legal or billing purposes. To request access, correction or deletion, email csvclosecheck@gmail.com. Identity verification may be needed. Do not send raw customer exports or secrets in email.
Service providers and contact
Hosting and sign-in are provided through OpenAI Sites infrastructure; payment processing uses Stripe; support email uses Gmail. Information may be processed in locations used by those providers. Messages to the support address contain whatever information you choose to send. Questions about this notice can be sent to csvclosecheck@gmail.com.
